Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information My Team Made Cleaning collects when you use this website or book a cleaning, and how we use it.
Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. What We Collect
When you ask for a quote, book a cleaning, apply for a job or contact us, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the address of the home or office to be cleaned, and any details you choose to share about your cleaning needs, such as pets, parking or access.
If you apply for a job, we also collect your city, how much cleaning experience you have, whether you can text and talk with clients in English, and what you write about yourself. You may also tell us whether you are legally entitled to work in Canada. That question is optional.
This website has no accounts and no login. Like most websites, the company that hosts it (Vercel) may log technical details such as your internet address and browser type when a page loads. We do not use those logs to identify or track visitors.
2. How We Use It
We use your information to answer your questions, give you a quote, schedule and confirm your cleaning, match you with your cleaner, send appointment reminders, take payment and keep our records. We use job applications only to consider you for work with us.
If you ask for photos after a clean, for example as an Airbnb host, your cleaner photographs only the cleaned rooms, and sends them only to you. We never take photos of people, and we never post photos of your home without your permission.
We do not use your information for anything else without asking you first.
3. Texts, Calls & Email
If you give us your phone number, we text you about your booking: confirmations, arrival windows and reminders. We do not send marketing texts unless you ask us to. Reply STOP at any time and we will stop. You can also tell us by phone or email that you do not want texts.
When you reply to a request for a quote, or we confirm a booking you asked for, those messages are part of the service you asked for. If we ever want to send you offers or news, we will ask for your clear permission first, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Messages come from My Team Made Cleaning, 75 N Park Rd, Thornhill, ON, +1 647 868 3835. Your phone carrier may charge for texts. If you use WhatsApp, WhatsApp (owned by Meta) handles those messages under its own privacy policy.
4. Payment Information
You pay us directly by e-transfer or cash after your clean. This website never asks for your card details and has no online payment. If you pay by e-transfer, your bank and Interac handle that transfer, and we see the name and email or phone on the transfer.
7. How Long We Keep It
Job applications are kept up to 12 months, then deleted. Keys and door codes are kept only while you are a client, and returned or deleted when service ends. Client records are kept as long as Canadian tax law requires, then deleted.
Requests that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as we need them to answer you.
8. Keeping It Safe
We keep your information private, limit who sees it to the people who need it for your clean, and use your keys or codes only for your scheduled visits. No website or message service is completely secure, and email and text messages in particular travel outside our control.
If something happens that puts your information at real risk of serious harm, we will tell you and report it to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.
9. Your Rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and withdraw your consent to our using it, subject to legal and contractual limits. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to keep cleaning your home.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. You do not need a special form.
